2025

Gala Dinner

22 March 2025

One Mother to Another is excited to welcome you to our 2025 Fundraising Gala Dinner “Together”, featuring guest speaker, Sir Don McKinnon.  The event will be held at the Canterbury Club, Christchurch City.

Join us for an evening of delectable, drinks and entertainment to support One Mother to Another.  The evening will start with cocktails and canapés from 6pm followed by a three course dinner, a presentation by Sir Don McKinnon and a live auction.

There will also be a silent auction on the night.

All proceeds from the fundraising gala will go towards supporting One Mother to Another, a charity that cares for parents and caregivers (particularly mothers) in hospital with a sick child or newborn. Co-founded by former TVNZ journalist Joy Reid, One Mother to Another aims to support these parents at such a difficult and stressful time by providing a unique care package.  Each year we donate 6,000+ care packs to 19 hospital wards/community groups throughout the South Island.

2024

We are excited to announce that One Mother to Another is holding a “Pizza Night Extravaganza” in October to connect our community and to raise funds and awareness for One Mother to Another.

This is a family friendly, casual pizza night where our stakeholders, volunteers and community can come together with their families to have dinner, share their stories with others and hear about One Mother to Another! There will be raffles and spot prizes on the night.

🍕Ticket price includes: breads and wedges for starters, and a selection of pizzas for mains. Cash bar operates and drinks can be purchased on the night.🍕

100% of the profits go to supporting the work of One Mother to Another.
